Based on the play by Tiago Rodrigues, "Sadness and Joy in the Life of Giraffes" follows the adventure of a 10-year-old girl and her a teddy bear with suicidal tendencies named Judy Garland, across the city of Lisbon in search of the only person who can help her: the prime minister. It is a fantasy journey through the voice of a child who undertakes the encyclopedic task of trying to explain the world.
